these are the days of becoming, the next new year

the eve, the year, so new it’s old, coming back into style, 

at least for a while, until we become february, then march, 

and all eyes look towards spring awakening...

awakening to a new year, a day of respite before the return to becoming 

the new next year,

the next new year.
